A builder team, a fintech client, and a problem nobody had solved well
Futuro Casa de Valores was born with a clear conviction: investing in the Ecuadorian stock market shouldn’t be complicated. In Ecuador, access to the capital market has historically been opaque, slow processes, unfriendly channels and little accessible information for the average citizen who wants to grow their money.
Jandony Guzmán, AI Product Owner, is part of a builder team specialized in integrating conversational AI for companies that need more than a chatbot, they need an agent that does things, and for this purpose they chose to use Jelou.
When Futuro Casa de Valores came with the challenge, the brief was clear: democratize the securities market using the digital channels Ecuadorians already use every day. The proposition is simple but powerful: the user doesn’t have to learn anything new. Just open WhatsApp.
Problem · The technical challenge
The agent could talk. The problem was it couldn’t act.
Futuro’s biggest obstacle wasn’t a lack of interest, it was the impossibility of answering questions at the exact moment customers had them. Questions about the stock market are technical, specific and urgent: how much is this stock worth today? What do I need to start investing? Is it safe?
Without an agile support system, those questions went unanswered. The team tried to solve the problem with WhatsAPI, but the integration proved unviable — implementation timelines and technical limitations made it impossible to connect the channel with real market data.
Every unanswered question was a lost opportunity. And in financial services, trust is built at the first contact, or not at all.
